On the weekend of August 11th and 12th, 18 museums in Placer County, from Roseville to Donner Summit, will be opening their doors free of charge  for a weekend of fun activities and historical enlightenment for the whole family!

The museums are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and each is unique in its own way.  A guide has been created to make your museums tour more efficient and interesting.
You can chose to drive yourself or, for $10, you can reseve a spot on a bus touring the museums. You can purchase a seat for Saturday or Sunday or both days! Bus departures are from the upper parking lot at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. On Saturday, the bus departs at 8:45 a.m. and on Sunday, at 9:30 a.m. Space is limited so to reserve your seat on the bus, call 530/889-6500.
