SAF Sip and Screen Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

If your favorite superhero is Spider-Man, then this is your event! Test your spidey senses during the opening night screening of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. But, first start at the Sierra Arts Riverside Gallery and enjoy an exclusive cocktail party, then “crawl” your way over to the Century Riverside for the movie. You’re encouraged to dress up as your favorite superhero or villain too!
Programs on the Porch – Wildlife Edition

This year’s Programs on the Porch is back and bringing the wildlife to you - there’ll be snakes, bats, bees, bobcats, and mountain lions! Local wildlife professionals will provide presentations of these exciting species so kick it on the porch for this free series (donations are accepted for the presenters). Be prepared for cooler weather and bring a blanket with a low back chair to enhance your enjoyment of these wildlife species.
Reno-Sparks Walk to Defeat ALS ®

Have the desire to make a big impact on many people’s lives? This is your chance to contribute to the cause toward a treatment and ultimately a cure for ALS. Your participation directly impacts people living with ALS here in the Reno-Sparks area. Join the Reno Fire Department team and register as a team or individual (or you may donate to a walker) – your participation counts.
Mark Wellman’s Adventure Day at the Sparks Marina Park
- When: Sunday, June 4, 2023
- Where: Sparks Marina, 300 Howard Dr., Sparks
All ages and abilities are encouraged to join this free event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to try a variety of adaptive sports. Those with disabilities along with friends and families may try hand-cycling, kayaking, and rock climbing with Mark Wellman, a two-time Paralympian, author, filmmaker and motivational speaker. Ask him about his ascent of El Capitan! In addition, there will be information and resources from local organizations.
4th Annual Reno Food & Drink Week
- When: Monday, June 5, 2023 – Friday, June 16, 2023
- Where: Multiple Locations
This is your week to dine at all the restaurants in the Reno-Sparks area you’ve been wanting to try and earn raffle prize entries for exciting items like a wine and cheese chocolate basket from About Town Deb & Dorinda’s Chocolates or a four-course meal for two from Fourk Kitchen! Curious about a career in the military? James Richardson currently serves at the Nevada Department of Veteran Services and on Friday, June 9th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., he will be discussing all the opportunities available for service and community building. Richardson will also be sharing reflections on his career in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard.
Reno River Festival

The Biggest Little Invitational

Known as an “elevated craft beer festival” The Biggest Little Invitational comes to you with a curated lineup of top shelf quality beers to excite your taste buds. Music at the Marina Concert Series

Music at the Marina is a great way to celebrate summer 2023! Every last Thursday of the month from June through September from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. you’ll be entertained by local musicians, dine on delicious food & desserts from favorite food trucks like Daddy’s Tacos and Lil’ Betty’s Shave Ice, and join friends in a friendly game of cornhole. This event is free!
Galena Campfire Programs
- When: Fridays starting June 30, 2023 through August 4th, 2023
- Where: Galena Creek Visitor Center, 18250 Mount Rose Hwy., Reno
Pack up the family and head to Galena for some quality time around the campfire. Each week offers a different presenter, cultural music experiences, educational programs, and there’ll be treats, s’more’s anyone?! The campfire program is free for the whole family, but be sure to bring blankets, low-back chairs, bug spray, and flashlights.
