Homebuying and Ownership Education Coming in March
The Financial Guidance Center will hold FREE seminars for home buyers from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 4 and 5 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 30. A Spanish version of the seminars also will be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on March 26 and 27. Topics include improving credit histories, obtaining a mortgage, the Real Estate Settlement Procedure Act, and the benefits of homeownership.
Classes will be held at 3100 Mill St., Suite 111, in Reno. Advance registration required. To register, call 775.337.6363.

Down Payment Resource Program
Dickson Realty is proud to offer the Down Payment Assistance Program to our clients. We have found that saving for a down payment is the number one barrier to home ownership. Even with lower home prices, many would-be homebuyers do not realize there are over 60 programs for down payment assistance in the Northern Nevada area. Down Payment Resource (DPR) tracks and integrates numerous programs in our area. They check monthly to ensure they funded and available for use. Many of the active residential listings in our area may be eligible for one or more assistance programs.
