Dickson Realty Broker Earns EcoBroker Designation
02-27-2009
Patrick Fletcher, a broker with Dickson Realty's Somersett office, has earned the EcoBroker Certified® designation from EcoBroker International, having successfully completed a unique and informative training program on the energy and environmental issues that affect real estate transactions. With the addition of Fletcher, Dickson Realty now has seven brokers who hold the EcoBroker Certified® designation, the most of any real estate agency in Nevada.
A graduate of Reno High School and the University of Nevada, Reno, Fletcher has lived in the Truckee Meadows for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Dickson Realty, Fletcher was an ales account executive at Western International, Inc., where he worked with more than 200 equestrian tack stores across the nation.
"My primary focus revolves around what is in the best interest of my client," said Fletcher. "This designation is another tool that I can use to assist my clients and concentrate on doing what is best for them. A recent national survey indicated 80 percent of consumers consider themselves ‘green-minded,' and I now can ensure that these individuals get what they want in a ‘green' home."
EcoBroker International's education and designation program is designed exclusively for real estate professionals who care about the environment and want to help clients benefit from the energy-efficient, "green" and healthier features of homes and buildings. EcoBroker provides a complete curriculum of energy and environmental training to licensed real estate agents. Real estate professionals must complete the extensive EcoBroker curriculum and training and fulfill additional program requirements to become Certified EcoBrokers®.
Also as part of Dickson Realty's commitment to environmental responsibility, the real estate agency launched its new "Dickson Green" division on April 2008 to serve as a resource for healthier, and more cost-effective, green real estate practices.
