Amy Shocket - Broker-Salesperson

As an active member of the real estate community Amy is a member of the Reno Sparks Association of REALTORS where she is on the 2009 Board of Directors and 2008 & 2009 Chair of the Education Committee. As the Immediate Past President of the Northern Nevada Chapter of Women's Council of REALTORS Amy networks with agents, lenders and escrow professionals in the Northern Nevada area. Amy is also a member of the National Association of REALTORS, 1.6 million members strong.  In 2009 Amy will expand her leadership experience and training as a member of the 2009 Nevada Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy.

Working in the current market environment is challenging at best. Amy has taken the necessary steps to help homeowners in this market by earning the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation. Amy is also a member of the Nevada Association of REALTORS Foreclosure Prevention Taskforce working to help reduce the number of foreclosures statewide.

Striving for excellence Amy has obtained industry designations that are earned with extensive education and industry performance standards. Amy holds the following real estate designations: ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist, and GRI (Graduate of the REALTOR Institute) and PMN (Performance Management Network). Amy is licensed as a Broker-Salesperson.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Arizona in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.  She has also earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City in Merchandising.

Raised in the Southern California community of Westlake Village, Amy has been a resident of Sparks since 1995. Amy has a strong background in business serving in the following positions throughout her career - Vice President of Marketing Vanguard Studios, President Retail Division Vanguard Studios, Marketing Manager Great Basin Federal Credit Union, and Sale Representative Sell West. Amy and her family enjoy traveling, entertaining, and quality family time.
