Ron Hemig - Broker Associate

After a lengthy career in newspaper publishing, Ron and his wife Pat came to Truckee in 1992.  Pat opened a retail store in the Westgate Center that year, with Ron serving as the assistant storekeeper.  Within a year Ron decided that he needed new business challenges so he started his real estate career with Owner/Broker Steve Carpenter at Prudential California Realty.   He also got involved with community organizations including Rotary and the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce.  Ron ultimately served two terms as Chamber President and then moved on to start his lengthy tenure with the Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD).  In the meantime, he expanded his real estate efforts to become co-owner of Hemig & Erle Real Estate Firm in 2003 with business partner Paula Erle.  Most recently, Ron and Paula joined the Schaller family as co- owners of Dickson Realty.  Ron has served 17 years with the TDPUD and is in the process of completing his last term.  Pat says she is retired - but she is busier than ever spending time with the six grand kids, volunteering at Tahoe Forest Hospital as well as landscaping and gardening at Ron and Pat's Pine Forest home.
